| Looking east acros the Bonneville Salt Flats. |
We headed out toward Wendover, Nevada then headed south into the desert, praying for nice weather. At least we did not have snow like they had at our house in Clearfield. Will winter never end?
| A view of our campsite. As you can see, the desert floor is very green. |
| A cold hike! Ethan has decided to "pose" for pictures these days. |
| Some of the desert flowers in bloom. |
| Here we are on a four wheel drive excursion, lots of different vehicles. Our almost 14 year old grandson is on the orange KTM bike and his best friend is on the green bike. They really put a lot of miles on those things and are getting to be fantastic riders! |
| We spotted this unit while we were out. Think we will stick with the motorhome with the memory foam on the bed and the indoor plumbing! |
| Looking for a geocache named "Eye of Sauron" |
| Found it! |
| We wondered if this was also found by some other RVers because of the rubber gloves - blackwater dumping? |
| Fritz and Ethan are good friends! |
| Is five years old too young to geocache? Evidently not! |

Nicolas is holding the first Travel Bug we have found in a cache. We actually found 2 this day. This one we are keeping to drop in a cache on Antelope Island on the Great Salt Lake on our next geocache adventure. The other one we found had a goal to tour Nevada, so we dropped it in a cache a few miles down the road. It was fun to actually find and log the Travel Bugs. For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, go to geocache.com and learn about a fun sport. And yes, it was as cold as Nicolas looks in this picture!
We cut our trip short one day as 5 days of rain, cold, and wind was enough. But it was still a fun Memorial Day weekend. |
